2017 marks the birth of the Weil Academy Track & Field Program! The team was founded on the determination of four exceptional female athletes, willing to commit to the standard of scholastic and athletic excellence that have been the hallmark of the Weil Tennis Academy for years!

The team will compete as a USA Track & Field club member in its first season and will compete as a full member of the CIF (California Interscholastic Federation) in its second season in 2017 - 2018. Our athletes schedule includes two early season all-comers meets at Santa Monica H.S. and Gahr H.S. in late December 2016, then a series of four qualifying meets in January & February 2017 on consecutive Saturdays which will determine who advances to the California Winter Championships, held on February 11th at Arcadia H.S., the home of the Arcadia Invitational. The following weekend, February 16th - 18th, the girls will travel to Pocatello, Idaho to compete in the prestigious Simplot Games Indoor Championships. The winter season will conclude with a trip to New York City to run in the New Balance Indoor Championships in early March!
After the indoor season, the girls will commit their time and effort to being full-time volunteer assistant coaches for the Ojai Roadrunners Youth Track Club, an admirable way for them to give back to the community and sport they love. In early May, the girls will begin specific training again in anticipation of the series of outdoor meets , sponsored by USA Track & Field that culminate with the 51st running of the Junior Olympics Track & Field Championships on July 24th - 30th in Lawrence, Kansas.
Personal Trainer and former Nordhoff H.S. Assistant Track Coach, Ed Italo, will be directing Weil's Track & Field Program. If you would like to contact Coach Ed about our program at Weil, please email him at email@example.com or call Weil Academy at (805) 640-3413.
