Weil College Placement Program Focused on Placing Players in Top College Programs!

Weil Academy Director Mark Weil with College Placement Program Director Mohammed El Bouzkouri
Weil Academy Director Mark Weil announced the launching of Weil's College Placement Program in 2006, tapping Asst. Head Coach Mohammed El Bouzkouri to head up the program as its Director of College Placement for the Academy.
"Weil has always been the industry leader in placing students on scholarship in college tennis programs at prestigious American Universities. We have placed over 150 academy students on scholarships worth well over $10 Million dollars into college programs like Stanford, Notre Dame, UCLA, UC Berkeley, Vanderbilt, USC, Northwestern, & Georgia Tech. I am very happy to appoint Asst Head Coach El Bouzkouri as our first Director –Mo has the right sensitivities to find the right program for each student, which is a real gift," said Weil.
Mark Weil founded the Weil Tennis Academy 10 years ago with the intention to help young tennis players find the right college program and educational opportunities that fit their talents and goals. His players have gone on to win 4 NCAA Team Championships, 1 NCAA Individual Championship and produce 7 All Americans in Singles and Doubles.
Establishing the Weil College Placement Program in 2006 now takes that mission to a higher level and will service players from around the world who want to study and compete in prestigious American Universities.
"We make winning a college scholarship a competition for our students at the academy-our players are competitors and they understand competition. Getting offered a scholarship to a great school like UC Berkeley means you are competing against young players from around the world, not just California or the United States. We coach our kids to get after these opportunities like they would get after trying to win a Grand Slam Tournament!," said Weil.
College Placement Director El Bouzkouri sees making the right match as the key.
"I have seen so many players take scholarships or placements that were so far below what they could have received with a little coaching and help from a professional. My goal is to maximize each player's opportunities so that they receive the best scholarship possible at the best school possible. The most important thing is that we find the right programs, the right academic fit and, most importantly, the right coach that will look after our players like family while they go through college," said Program Director El Bouzkouri.
So far, the Program's results have been outstanding with players receiving placements and scholarships to UC Berkeley, UCLA, Georgia Tech, UCSB, Univ. of San Diego, Cal Lutheran Univ.., Univ. of Redlands, Boise St., Univ. of Nevada, and many others.
A prospective player must contact Program Director El Bouzkouri to determine eligibility for the program. You can visit the College Placement Program pages on this site to find out more about winning your scholarship to a great American University!
