Weil College Placement Director & Head Coach Mohammed El Bouzkouri has expanded our college placement program this year to include players not attending the academy full time.

"Our College Scholarship Placement Program has proven to get international players to American Universities far beyond their expectations both academically and tennis-wise. What makes us unique in our field is that we have strong relationships with so many college coaches and know each University's strengths, which enables us to help each player find exactly the right fit for them," said College Placement Director El Bouzkouri.

Program Director El Bouzkouri sees making the right match the key to a great placement. "I have seen so many players take scholarships or placements that were so far below what they could have received with a little coaching from a professional. Our goal is to maximize each player's opportunities so that they receive the best possible scholarship at the best school possible. The most important thing is that we find the right programs the right academic fit and most importantly, the right coach that will look after our players like family while they go through college," continued El Bouzkouri.

UC Berkeley Freshman Bozhidar Katsarov agreed that the help he got from Weil was invaluable in helping him choose Cal as is school. "I had a lot of great offers from nice schools and great programs, but Mo and Mark helped me focus in on what was most important to me in a college tennis and academic experience which made Cal the obvious choice for me -- I have a great coach in Peter Wright, a great academic school, a nice scholarship and a great group of guys on our team. I am very happy with my choice," said Katsarov.

UCLA Freshman Ahmed Ismail felt the push he got from El Bouzkouri and Weil to go for the scholarship at UCLA was the right thing to do. "UCLA was my first choice, but Coach Martin had a lot of strong players wanting the scholarship. Mo and Mark had to coach me on how to separate myself from the other recruits and win the competition for the scholarship with UCLA. Our strategy worked and I have a great opportunity to play and attend UCLA for the next 4 years, which was my dream," said Ismail.

Georgia Tech Sophomore Kirsten Flower credits Weil's Program for pointing her towards the right coach and program that resulted in a NCAA Championship in her freshman year.

"I was a top recruit for a lot of schools but Mark and Mo felt GA Tech's Head Coach Bryan Shelton was the best fit for my temperament, my goals and my dreams for my college experience. Well, we won the NCAA title my first year, so I'm loving being here, love my coach and my team mates and am looking for more titles in the next 3 years!", said Flower.
