Why Choose Weil Tennis Academy?
Weil is Selective
Most importantly, The Weil Tennis Academy is the most selective boarding and training academy in the world. Our players and their families are focused first on College Tennis Preparation & College Placement. At Weil, the goal for each of our players is to gain admission, study and play college tennis at the most prestigious American Universities attainable.
To this end, Weil only accepts players to our full time program who are strong students and competitive players, motivated to improve and develop their games. Each player and their family must submit an application with the player’s academic transcript, letters of recommendation from a coach and teacher, the player’s competitive record, and each prospective Weil player must write an essay explaining why they want to attend Weil, what their goals are and what they will bring to the Academy.

Weil’s Academics: Great Options for Private and Public School
The Weil College Preparatory School offers a high quality, fully accredited private school option of education for our US and International students (Grades 8-12) who want their child to learn in a smaller, more personal environment. Small class sizes, a focus on English language learning and top College Placement, combined with a highly qualified teaching staff make Weil College Prep a great choice for your child. Weil College Prep's flexibility with each student's schedule allows our players to train and travel to continue their development as players while maintaining a quality education in preparation for enrollment into top US Universities like UCLA, UC, Berkeley, Cornell, Yale and many more! Weil also offers Student Visas (F-1) for our International Students that are valid for all years of study at Weil.
Weil Tennis Academy has also partnered with the highly rated Ojai Unified School District to offer our US students a traditional, high quality public school education. Weil students attend either Matilija Junior High School or Nordhoff High School, which are both in the top ten percent of all California Schools, from 7:45AM to 12:00PM daily, so that they can train the entire afternoon. When our players travel for long periods of time, these public schools provide them with an Independent Study Contract so they can do their academic work on the road and not miss any credits. This schedule mirrors a college player's schedule and further prepares our players to transition seamlessly to the college level and be successful right away!
A digital learning program (APEX) is also available through Nordhoff High School for US players that must travel more extensively. All of these options encompass the most comprehensive academic offerings of any academy in the world in order to provide your child with the best opportunities for college tennis and academics!
