Weil College Prep and Tennis Academy Announces 18 Seniors Committing To Colleges
OJAI, Calif. (Feb. 8, 2017) – Weil Tennis Academy and College Preparatory School Academy Founder and Director Mark Weil has announced that 18 Weil seniors have either signed early National Letters of Intent, or “officially committed” on academic and/or athletic scholarships to continue their education and tennis careers at prestigious NCAA schools around the nation.
The students include:
- Alexis Alvarez (Uruapan, Michoacán, Mexico): University of Washington; Athletic Scholarship.
- Brandon Lam (Westlake Village, Calif.): Indiana University; Athletic Scholarship.
- Connor Reardon (Orinda, Calif.): Linfield College (Oregon); Academic Scholarship.
- Hazuki Ogino (Ashiya, Hyogo, Japan): Ashland University (Ohio); Athletic and Academic Scholarship.
- Kate McMahon (Fredericksburg, Texas): University of Louisiana – Lafayette; Academic Scholarship.
- Lola Gorbacheva (West Hollywood, Calif.): UC San Diego; Academic Scholarship.
- Madison Wolfe (Monument, Colo.): University of Akron; Full Athletic Scholarship.
- Mana Koitabashi (Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan): University of Northern Colorado; Athletic and Academic Scholarship.
- Michael Chen (Ningbo, Zhejiang, China): William and Mary College; Academic and Athletic Scholarship.
- Peter Huang (Beijing, China): University of Rochester.
- Seira Shimizu (Niiza, Saitama, Japan): Purdue University; Full Athletic Scholarship.
- Emilio Monroy (Baja, Calif., Mexico): UC Irvine; Scholarship
- Anastasiya Redkina (Minsk, Belarus): Whitman College; Academic Scholarship
- David Bogatin (Moscow, Russia): Boston University; Scholarship
- Chris Grasel (San Paulo, Brazil): Boston College.
- Nima Movassaghi (Eugene, Ore.): Villanova University
- Suraj Mahtani (Hong Kong): Skidmore College
- Nadine Del Carmen (Guam, U.S. Territory); Santa Clara University; Scholarship
